A Two-Day Summer Experience for Hafu & International Youth in Japan

Join us for an unforgettable summer youth camp experience that fosters creativity and connection among participants from diverse backgrounds. This camp serves as a unique opportunity for youth to engage with nature, express their creativity through art, and build lasting friendships.

Join us for a joyful and healing two-day pilot program designed for youth ages 8–12 with international or dual-cultural backgrounds. Through a variety of activities centered around nature, art, and mentorship, this camp creates a welcoming space for connection, creativity, and belonging. Participants can look forward to engaging workshops that encourage self-expression and teamwork, making it an enriching experience for everyone involved.

Camp Highlights

      • Day 1: River day in Ueno Mura with wellness games, rock painting, and a barbecue

        On Day 1, we will spend the day at the picturesque Ueno Mura, where campers will engage in wellness games that promote physical health and teamwork. Activities such as tug-of-war and relay races will not only be fun but also emphasize the importance of collaboration. Rock painting allows campers to express their artistic side while taking a break from their daily routines. The day will conclude with a barbecue, where campers can bond over delicious food and share their experiences.

      • Day 2: Art and self-expression at Space Un Gallery in Tokyo https://www.spaceun.tokyo/

        Day 2 will be an enriching experience at Space Un Gallery in Tokyo, where young artists will have the opportunity to express themselves through various forms of art, including painting, sculpture, and even digital art. Workshops led by local artists will guide campers through the creative process, allowing them to explore their unique artistic voices. This day is designed to not only foster creativity but also help participants develop confidence in their abilities.

      • “Big sibling” mentorship with young adults ages 18–22

Important Information for Parents
To ensure your child’s safety and a smooth camp experience, all participants must submit the following documentation before attending the camp: Each form is crucial to provide a safe environment for all campers and to comply with local regulations.

      • Consent and liability waiver

      • Medical authorization form

      • Emergency contact information

      • Proof of valid insurance that covers:

        • Accidents

        • Emergency transportation

        • Outdoor activities (some policies may exclude this)

        • Water-related incidents

Ticket purchase and form submission must be completed in advance.

Finally, after the camp concludes, we will organize a closing ceremony to celebrate the achievements of all participants. Campers will have the chance to showcase their art and share their experiences with friends and family, reinforcing the sense of community fostered throughout the camp.

Parents must print and complete the form, and submit it along with a copy of valid insurance coverage. Both the signed form and insurance copy must be brought on the first day of camp. Completion and submission of these materials are mandatory for participation.
